Yellowfish AB is a managed service provider of telematics-based monitoring services for the international freight industry. Our services are promoted and delivered under the brand name Fleetmonitor. We help our customers to improve their control and to optimize their usage of rail freight wagons, locomotives and containers. You will work in a dynamic organization characterized by a truly entrepreneurial spirit without prestige. As a system developer, you will be an important part in our efforts to always deliver the most customer friendly solutions in our business. As we provide a complete managed solution, the job presents many challenges and opportunities, both technical and personal.

You will be working with developing all parts of our technical environment. What you do will have a direct impact on how we and our customers work with the system. You will be involved in the whole process, from planning and design to development and implementation. Our customers’ needs are always the starting point of our work and it is together with them that we develop our services and processes.

The role

Our customers and prospects tells us time and time again that our portal with its services and functionality is the leading solution on the market. Our goal is to keep this position by continuously help our customers improve. To achieve this, we now need an addition to our team to work with the following:

  • Development of user interfaces and APIs
  • Design, development and implementation of a new back-end environment
  • New products and services for existing and future business areas

Profile

To be the right person for this role, we think you possess the following knowledge and qualities:

  • It is necessary that you have relevant experience of: Java, Javascript, AngularJS, Gradle, Node/NPM, MySQL, HTML, CSS/SCSS, REST, NGINX, Hazelcast
  • It is also meriting if you have relevant experience of: Spring, OSGi, Hibernate, Lucine, SOAP, Openstac, Linux, JSF/XHTML, J2EE, Maven, jQuery, Grunt, Guice
  • As we are an innovative business, solving old problems with new technology, we think it’s a good thing if you have a genuine interest in technology
  • You are efficient and structured with a clear focus on high quality in your work
  • It is important that you master English, spoken and written
  • You can work on your own and as a part of a team

As our Support & Service Operations Manager, you will have a role with equal parts technology, system and service operations and customer support. The possibilities to apply different aspects of your competence and to acquire new skills and experiences are extensive. The role as Support & Service Operations Manager has several responsibilities. A short description:

Technical sales support

  • Provisioning and administration of service deliveries to customers
  • Identifying and proposing both technical and administrative improvements and adaptations to develop the technical sales support
  • Participating in meetings and projects with customers

Service operations

  • Continuous administration of the technical components enabling the customer delivery
  • Monitoring of service platform
    • Trouble shooting, corrective measures and continuous follow-up
    • Compiling event reports and statistics
  • Monitoring of installed devices and hardware
    • Trouble shooting, corrective measures and continuous follow-up
    • Compiling event reports and statistics
  • Proactive service operations
    • Quality assurance of the service delivery to customers
    • Defining targets, measuring target fulfilments and propose improvements
    • Participate in service operations meetings with partners and suppliers
    • Communicate service operations requirements and target fulfilments to suppliers
    • Testing new releases of both hardware and software/platform features

Other technical tasks

  • Participating in planning and defining requirement specifications for development projects
  • Testing and evaluation of devices and hardware

Customer support

  • Proactive work
    • Our model is to identify potential and real problems or disturbances in our service delivery and to prevent or correct these before our customers are affected
    • Prepare planned disturbances and inform customers
    • Inform customers about news and provide tips and proposals leading to even greater customer benefits and values
  • Reactive work
    • Staff our customer support 09-17 during working days (being available)
    • Answer support and service related questions from customers via email and telephone
    • At unplanned disturbances: Trouble shooting and error reporting and information and feedback to customers
    • Logging and follow up of support and error tickets for statistics, reports and SLA fulfilment documentation
  • Other
    • Post and package handling to and from customers and suppliers

Profile

To be the right person for this role, we think that you have the following knowledge and qualities:

  • It is meriting if you have previous experience of telematics, testing, customer service and support, and IT service operations
  • Good knowledge and understanding of telecommunications, Linux, database management and network protocols
  • Good social competence and abilities, preferably with experience of service and support
  • Speaking and writing Swedish and English fluently
  • Good communication abilities, both in speech and in writing
  • You think that customer focus is just as important as technical focus
  • You are thorough and have a good eye for details
  • You like to work independently, taking own initiatives comes naturally and you have a clear entrepreneurial spirit
